$500 Is Not A Problem If You're Not Legal Yet

12327_tm.jpg

$500 is apparently not a problem for most teens, according to a survey that focused on teenagers. And what will they be spending that much money on? Apple's iPhone, of course.

This survey of 500 teens across the U.S. found that a full 125 were ready to put down some cold hard cash (or at least some good credit) for the iPhone right when it comes out. That 125 might not sound like a lot; but if you extrapolate those numbers out to be thousands, you're talking 125,000 out of every 500,000 teens. And that's just those under 18. Adults are a different matter entirely.

This survey is saying that spending $500 for the iPhone, and saving for it as early as now, is okay if you're under 18. If you're at the legal age now, you may want to keep your mouth shut about why you've been such a cheapskate lately.
