A Portable Video Projector

mobilevideoprojector.jpg

There was a time when the idea of being able to call from anywhere was a dream. That became a reality with the cellphone. Today, they are far from being simple telephone units that happen to be portable. No, they're much more complicated than that. They're organizers, digital cameras, calculators, video and audio recorders and so on. With that said, are cellphones capable of becoming portable video projectors? Guess what? Somebody already said yes.

The Epoq EGP-PP01 is the world's first commercial projector phone. It features a world/ tri-band GSM unlocked mobile phone with touch screen, multimedia record and playback and micro-projection module that can project stored images and video as large as 30 inch diagonal on most surfaces.

The device is said to be capable of projecting videos for two hours on a full battery. That's pretty impressive, but you better bring a spare battery in case you want to actually make a call with the unit. You can check out more pictures via the source link.
