An Android Preview

AVING has previews of an Android-powered mobile from ARM. It was on display at the MWC 2008.

You can expect Android prototypes to predominantly display two of Google's best products: its search engine and maps. Judging from the sample above, it looks good. The search engine screen retains Google's simple welcome page, displaying just the logo and the search form. Additional links appear at the bottom and I'm wondering if they're customizable since some of them are not included in the default web-based home screen.

The maps are displaying clear images, looking close to what you'd expect from its browser-based big brother. If you're thinking about the zoom quality like I am, then take a look at the source link for more images. There's a sample there and I think you'll be pleased with the results.
