Android 1.1 SDK Released

Coders and developers out there will be excited to know that the Android 1.1 Software Development Kit is now available. The SDK is tagged as release 1. Applications written with the previous SDKs will work on it, but if you want to benefit from the new APIs, you'll have to use the update. Here are the new features:

The new SDK also includes an emulator image that allows developers to test their applications. That's always useful from any standpoint in the coding process. Those of you with Android-powered mobiles can contact your operator to get the update later on. Google is going to release a retail-ready version soon.
