Apple iPhone Named Top Device For Mobile Advertising Traffic

In an announcement that doesn't surprise anyone except, well, it probably doesn't surprise anyone at all, AdMob has revealed that the iPhone is the top device for mobile advertising. See? Not exactly groundbreaking news, right?

AdMob, the world's largest mobile advertising marketplace, has announced the iPhone is now the top device worldwide for mobile advertising traffic, displacing the Motorola RAZR, and in a regional feature focus highlighted traffic from Latin America and the Caribbean has more than doubled in the last year. The iPhone experienced strong traffic worldwide to become the number one device, with 37 percent of requests coming from outside of the US.

The iPhone is the top device worldwide, resting cozily among other phone models from Motorola and Nokia. A BlackBerry also made its presence felt, although its looking a little lost at the bottom of the pile. Hit the source for the full details, including other interesting facts about market share and how other companies performed.
