Apple Releases September Update Document

mobilemeblog.gif

Apple has released details about the MobileMe update last September. No, you're not reading an incorrectly-dated post. It really did release the details just recently. We're near the end of October, but in case you want to know about what happened and what was updated, read on.

In this document titled "About the Late-September 2008 MobileMe update," Apple uncharacteristically reveals a laundry list of changes, and even a few new or returning features, for MobileMe's server-side applications that rolled out in September. Besides service-wide changes like improving localization support and member name suggestions when newbies sign up, MobileMe Mail, Calendar, Contacts, and Account applications all received a healthy dose of tweaks and improvements.

If you can recall, MobileMe's launch didn't exactly deliver to expectations. By releasing the documentation, Apple is showing that it's willing to face the music and improve on the service's flaws. The only thing that is terribly unimpressive is the date. A month after the said update, do you still care?
