Apple Relents, Approves Tweetie

tweetie.PNG

Yesterday the buzz around the 'Net regarding the app store involved Tweetie, that little Twitter client for the iPhone. To be precise, the word was more on it not getting the approval from the powers-that-be. That changed a few hours later. Apple took another look at it and gave it the thumbs-up. There's no word on whether hugs and kisses were also included or not.

App developer Loren Brichter broke the news via---where else---Twitter:

"Great news! 1.3 has now been approved! Alright Apple!," Brichter tweeted.

It's not the first time that Apple has recanted its decision. Given the current trend about its screening process, it's unlikely that it will be the last. Let me play devil's advocate and offer this suggestion: if the public knew just how many apps were reviewed every day or month, then maybe people would be more forgiving of oversights like this one.
