Apple Updates MobileMe Web Service

128px-Apple-logo.png

It might have had a rough start, but Apple has recently updated the MobileMe web service. If you haven't given up on it yet, here's a summary of what to expect. Some improvements were added, which includes faster contact searching, new sorting options for the calendar and support for foreign language characters.

Now regarding contacts, those of you with a thousand or more entries should not run into the "slow script" browser message anymore. The results are now supposed to be available faster. A new keyboard shortcut has also been introduced to make adding new contacts easier. To Do items can be sorted by calendar or title, allowing simpler navigation. The gallery has an updated "Tell a friend" email message and iDisk now supports Japanese language characters.

There are still quite a few updates that I haven't mentioned yet, so make sure you head to the source to get the full list. The starting point may not have been as smooth as Apple would have liked, but it seems to be working on improving things.
