Facebook Connect For iPhone Launched

Top social networking spot Facebook recently announced Facebook Connect for iPhone, a new service that integrates the website with the Apple mobile. The said integration will involve apps, connectivity and, of course, sharing the experience with friends. Here's what Facebook platform manager Dave Morin had to say:

"For the first time, your iPhone apps can now have friends," said Morin. "I can pull out my iPhone and play it not only my other friends with iPhones, but I can also play with my mom—she can join in and play with us on her computer."

Not sure about that playing with your mom thing, but the new feature will allow you to exchange information with your Facebook contacts using the iPhone. You can share scores, check out who's online, etc. A good number of apps are already supporting the feature, which includes Urbanspoon, Flixster Moviews and upcoming ones from MTV, Citysearch and EA Sports.
