Fido To Be Relaunched Next Week

When it comes to branding, it's easy to think of Fido as "Rogers Lite". If you can't help but be biased towards it, you're not alone. Even Rogers itself seems to be treating it like a bastard child. In an attempt to take the brand more seriously, Fido is getting a relaunch.

An article by the Financial post reports that “Rogers’ Fido brand is set to be relaunched Tuesday with a new logo as well as updated plans. It is offering no system access fee, lower monthly rates and an expanded product lineup.

We'll keep an eye on this one next week. Hopefully the revamped Fido is going to establish itself as an active player in the game and not just some forgotten participant. Of course, it's all up to Rogers to share the spotlight. Tuesday will determine how the powers-that-be will try to figure that out.
