Flash Demoed On Android

Take a look at the post below and you'll see an entry about Flash and the iPhone and what the current status is in terms of getting them together. Now, newcomer Android is throwing a little spice to the mix by showing that it can handle Flash.

At Adobe's MAX event this morning, none other than Andy Rubin himself helped to demo Flash running on a G1, proving that it's possible and that Apple's running out of excuses. It wasn't mentioned exactly when we'd see it pushed out in an over-the-air update (or available from the Market, possibly, we suppose), but at least Rubin confirmed that Adobe and Google are pooling their collective noggins to make it happen.

See what happens when you show developers a little love? With Android and Google showing that they support the software, ads, streaming video and other Flash-based content are sure to follow. Who knows? Maybe this is the proverbial push that Apple needs in order to become more proactive with the situation.
