Google Announces Android Developer Challenge Winners

ecorio.png

Among Google's first initiatives with the Android launch was the developer challenge, a contest that placed programmer against fellow programmer for a chance to win $275,000 USD. That contest ended last week and Google has announced the winners. Here's an example:

Ecorio - Jeff Kao, Gary Pong, Robert Lam, Taneem Talukdar

Ecorio automatically tracks your mobile carbon footprint, suggests transit and carpooling alternatives and lets you stay carbon neutral by offsetting your trips easily.

You can find out more via the source. Also, Google outlined how the judging went, so in case you're wondering about that too, the details are there.
