Google Mobile App For BlackBerry Updated With Voice Search

Users of RIM's popular devices Google has announced that the Google Mobile App for BlackBerry will now let you search using your voice and using My Location. Go to http://m.google.com on your Blackberry and try it out yourself.

Using My Location for your search will display results with your position in mind. Let's say you type "burger n fries". It should show you nearby joints that serve burger and fries. Search suggestions are enabled, which means that words and phrases that you type will fill themselves out automatically. Another feature is spelling correction. Here's how it works:

Now on your vacation, you could have sworn your friend said to meet in "Lester Square". Unfortunately, "Lester Square" is nowhere to be found on the Tube Map. A quick voice search on Google Mobile App (just press and hold the green button) for "Lester Square" reveals the true spelling. Leicester Square is actually only two stops away on the Picadilly Line. Problem solved!

The app supports BlackBerry O/S 4.1+. You'll need O/S 4.2 for voice-enabled search though.
