Google Optimizes google.com For iPhone & iPod Touch

Hummus.png

Not to be left behind in all the hoopla surrounding the iPhone 3G, Google has launched a new version of google.com for the iPhone and the iPod Touch, optimizing the site's speed and ease of use.

The new Google.com for the iPhone browser now loads twice as fast as before -- and not just over 3G or Wi-Fi but also EDGE. We've optimized the page for fast searching, while still providing easy access to other Google applications including Gmail, Calendar, Reader, and many others under the More tab.
The user interface has also been tweaked to include more room for search results. Overall, there's nothing new, just improvements on existing features. They're still going to come in handy of course, especially if you use Google a lot.
