Google Ramps Up Mobile Search

Google is ramping up its mobile services by taking two steps forward in terms of features. First, it's making access to the homepage faster by reducing load time, which is done by caching the homepage to your phone. If you happen to have it bookmarked, then it becomes even faster.

The second step is making access to iGoogle gadgets easier. Here's how:

We've linked your iGoogle gadgets directly from the new mobile home page and made it easier for you to set up your mobile iGoogle page from the desktop. By going to your iGoogle settings page on a computer, you can choose and rearrange your favorite gadgets for your phone.

You can use dragging and dropping to move items to the top of your page, giving way to faster and more convenient access. Full details via the source.
