Google Updates YouTube Mobile For Windows Mobile & Symbian

Google is showing Windows Mobile and Symbian some love with the announcement of the new version of its mobile YouTube app that's been optimized for the two platforms. Among the improvements is support for more devices. It's also supposed to be faster this time, with searching and video load times quicker than before. Even the application itself shouldn't take too long to start up.

Here are the rest of the updates:

More robust streaming: Improved buffering ensures that videos will play even in weak coverage areas. Easy video viewing: Once installed, no configuration is required outside of the application. We've worked really hard to make video playback "just work".

The application also includes a notification feature for new updates. It will now inform you if new improvements come out in the future. It'll come in handy if you use the app a lot. To see it in action, visit m.youtube.com on your cellphone.
