Grapevine News: Motorola To Announce A New Brand

Motorola is rumored to be taking a step back from all the RAZR/RIZR derivative madness to come up with a new line of mobiles branded under the name ZiNE.

Apparently the "ZiNE" line will feature a Z10 successor with a big touchscreen, WiFI, and GPS and an 8 megapixel monster with optical zoom purportedly created in conjunction with Kodak. Of course, all of this is fluff and smoke 'til we see the real deal, but know we'll be posting the dodgy and blurry pics if and when we get our hands on 'em.

It's still hearsay for now, but it doesn't remove the fact that it's one letter away from becoming a portable media player from a well-known software company. As always, we'll keep you posted once the official word gets out.
