Helio Supports Push Email For Gmail

Push email has been around for a while, but it's a feature that's usually associated with BlackBerry devices than anything else. It looks like Helio wants a little recognition in that area and is stepping things up a bit by offering something new. Helio users will now be able to access their Gmail mailboxes via push email.

Well, Helio users woke up this morning to find that Gmail is finally push-enabled on all aforementioned devices. No crazy configuration required — just hit send and receive — your emails will just come in right before your eyes.

Will other carriers follow suit? I certainly hope so. I've been feeling a little behind on the push email advantage for quite a while now so having more carrier support is a welcome thing.
