HTC Touch Diamond To Retail At Best Buy (Updated)

Thumbnail image for Touch_Diamond_People.jpg

Recent news revealed that the HTC Touch Diamond is going to come from a source other than Telus, so if you were hesitant to sign up because of carrier concerns, fret no more. Retailer Best Buy is going to offer it as well, unlocked for your convenience. There's a catch though, so better read the fine print.

The Touch Diamond now has a Coming Soon page all its own on Best Buy's site, which is just fantastic considering that neither AT&T nor T-Mobile have yet bothered to pick it up -- but the problem is that the specifications make no mention of US 3G despite the fact that we know there's just such a version floating around.

The mention of "US 3G" could be a double whammy for us because not only will we have to watch out for the lack of the said technology, but we don't even know whether Best Buy CA will have the Touch Diamond in stock when it rolls out. It's only implied, not directly stated, so keep an eye out for it.

Update: It's confirmed to have 3G, folks. FYI.
