iPhone Don'ts & Music-Mute Mobiles

42-17695004.jpg

CW has a list of things that you shouldn't do with a friend's iPhone. It starts off with advice against the mildly irritating smudges to potentially dangerous accidents like dropping it.

No smudging, no sneezing

Wipe your fingers before you put them on someone else's iPhone. That screen may be dazzling, but coat it with greasy fingerprints by pointing and pinching, and your iPhone-ownin' friend may disown you. No need to go all Adrian Monk here, but at least have the courtesy to swipe your index finger a time or two on the thigh of your jeans. And although this goes without saying, it's worth repeating: If you have to sneeze, turn your head or cover your mouth or hand back the iPhone. If oily fingerprints are bad on the iPhone screen, sneeze residue is worse.

Head over to the source article for the full list.

Do you use your phone's music playback capabilities? Engadget reports that only a very small margin of customers in the US download music on their mobiles.

Only about two percent of US customers download music to their handsets over the air according to Jupiter Research. Not an OTA fan? Chew on this: only five percent of music-capable handsets get music sideloaded from nearby PCs as well. 28 million US customers will have music-capable handsets at the end of this year, while a minimal percentage will actually use that capability. Will it get better with the iPhone being sold in volume this year? We'll see.

Personally, I use my iPod for my music. It's a lot easier to navigate it when I feel like listening to a particular song or album. Scrolling through the playlist on my phone isn't particularly fun (or fast, for that matter), so that's one reason. What about you? Is your mobile your music player?
