iPhone Goes Retro With Mega Man 2

Those of you into retro gaming will be interested to know that one of the most popular gaming characters is making an appearance on the iPhone: Mega Man is invading Apple's mobile with Mega Man 2.

The game is controlled with an arcade stick and two buttons. I don't know how faithful this port is, but if it's a recreation of the NES classic, it's going to be tough to play. Mega Man 2 is a fine example of an old school platformer: it's a side-scrolling game with plenty of jumping, climbing and shooting. Most of those jumps require precision and that's where the difficulty lies. Will the touchscreen controls be sufficient to play the game properly?

Mega Man 2 for the iPhone available now for $5 USD. It's compatible with the iPhone and the iPod Touch.
