iPhone Is For Babies Too?

iphone toy feltThe iPhone and its revolutionary touchscreen interface is an undeniably big hit with consumers, but it seems the iPhone craze may run deeper than we think. Might the iPhone be the first electronic device to be 'used' by every generation?

We are seeing growing evidence of babies using the iPhone. Sure, you can buy a felt-stuffed iPhone for your baby. Toys are one thing, but what we're really curious about is actual usage. And what does real 'baby interaction' mean for the iPhone of today, and what could it mean down the road when custom 'baby friendly' skinnable-interfaces are made available from the App Store? Will the iPhone be the de-facto first 'computer' for a new generation of hyper-mobile net-savvy kids?

2-year old using the iPhone:
"Text messaging, watching video, looking at pictures, using YouTube, writing notes, or using the calendar feature...she covers it all."

1-year old using the iPhone:
"My 1 year old son instantly learned how easy it was to look at photos on the iPhone."

2-year old using the iPhone:
"Fun video of a 2-year-old navigating photos on an iPhone"
