LG & Microsoft Team Up

LGsmall.gif

When LG teamed up with Prada, the result was only so-so, far from being the iPhone contender it was supposed to be. Maybe it learned a lesson about straying too far from its tech roots because it has partnered with a company closer to home. Actually, its partner is one of landowners, following that analogy.

Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer recently took a little trip to the land of cell phones and kimchi to ink a deal that will ensure future collaboration between LG Electronics and MS. Right now it’s just a preliminary agreement so it will likely be a while (well, funnier and faster things have happened) before LG starts putting out some sexy Windows Mobile-powered handsets.

We don't know what's in store yet, but at least we know what to expect. It's going to be a while before we start seeing production units available, so don't hold your breath. Let's just wait and see what they'll throw at us this time around. Maybe some serious iPhone competition for a change?
