LG Working On Card-Sized Keyboard

lg-lba-c300.jpg

Fitting full QWERTY keyboards into a cellphone isn't an easy task. Mobile manufacturers have proven that they can do, but I'm pretty sure that they haven't stopped trying to come up with better designs. The perfect one would be something that provides comfortable typing without making it impossible to fit your phone into your pocket.

LG is pushing a new keyboard design that's guaranteed to get your attention. It's trying to get the LBA-C300 Bluetooth Enabled QWERTY Card approved so that it give users the option to connect a credit card-sized keyboard to your mobile. You should be able to type easier with the device attached.

The LCD screen leaves something to the imagination though. What is it for? The source suggests that you can probably use the device to text without taking your phone out of your pocket. That's certainly a novel idea, but will the implementation be seamless enough to make it work? We can only speculate at this point. I don't know about you, but I could sure use a product demo right about now.
