Mark Android Tuesday

androidlogo1-thumb.png

We've already said that Tuesday is an important date for Android lovers and haters alike, but that doesn't mean that they're the only ones who will be affected by the upcoming operating system. Google's platform has the potential to rewrite mobile history and it looks like the search engine giant has every intention to do so.

For Google, Android is a tool to spread Internet-savvy phones far and wide. People with powerful networked phones use the Internet much more, and Google wants to be the top company supplying the information they demand online.

And we all know that when it comes to providing information, Google is a great choice. In fact, it's the only choice for most.

Also, when you think about it, Android is already making its mark: the launch of the OS is overshadowing the mobile itself. That's a feat that's almost unheard of, even if you count the new versions of Windows Mobile, Symbian and the like. If there's one thing that the HTC Dream will be remembered for, it's the fact that it's the first Android-powered mobile ever released.
