Microsoft Announces Acrobat Reader & Flash Lite Support For Windows Mobile

Microsoft's Windows Mobile department seems to be having quite a busy week. Shortly after announcing the release of Silverlight 1.0 for Windows Mobile, the software giant announced that Adobe Acrobat Reader and Flash Lite will now be supported.

The Acrobat Reader technology will allow Windows Mobile devices to view PDF files and email attachments easily. Flash Lite 3 is a web technology that will enable a more robust, and animated, web experience.

The big deal with Flash Lite 3 is that it will enable users to access content from the popular video sharing website YouTube. iPhone users have had this feature since day one, so it's about time that Windows Mobile users caught up. Of course, they'll have the extra edge of having Flash Lite content from other sites available, possibly offering some consolation for the long overdue feature. And Apple? Let's just say it's not too concerned about the recent developments at the moment.
