Motorola To Come Up With Android Phone

motologo.gif

Recent news have revealed that Motorola is working on its own Android phone. While it's still too early to come up with an image of a design concept, here are a few things that you can expect in terms of features:

Business Week reports that the new device will feature a touch screen about the size of the iPhone's and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and that it will be designed for social networking. The Moto-droid will also be cheaper than its current Android competitor, T-Mobile's G-1.

Ah, yes. In the spirit of competition, they're already saying that the new phone is going to be cheaper than the G1. Motorola is setting the price at $150 USD, as opposed to the current $180. I wonder what other features will be superior. The thing with being the first of anything, as is the case with the G1, is that it becomes the baseline for comparison. You can expect a side-by-side review from somewhere when the device from Motorola rolls out.
