My Location Gets Updated

nyChange.jpg

I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one who finds Google's multiple mapping services and applications confusing sometimes. With My Location, Google Maps and Google Earth around, it can be a struggle to find out which service will work best for you. Well, fret not, because at the end of the day it's about finding your destination. Google recently posted that it has improved its location services by showing you where you are, with better accuracy.

Now, the next time you're using Google Maps in downtown Manhattan, expect to see a much smaller circle that's also far more accurate. Conversely, when you're in a lightly populated area like rural Iowa, expect to see a much larger circle which also happens to be centered closer to your true location.

The good news is that you don't have to do anything to reap the benefits. Any application that uses Google's geolocation service will get the improvements automatically.
