MySpace Developing Its Own iPhone Application

myspacesmall.jpg

Social networking website MySpace is working on its own mobile application and, unlike others, it's playing favorites with a particular system. The popular site is set to have a custom-built app for the iPhone and the iPod Touch.

MySpace is in the midst of developing a native iPhone and iPod touch application, Electronista has learned. Although details of what the app involves remain closely guarded, the product is known to be the result of early SDK access and is described as impressive compared to current mobile versions of the social networking site.

Little is known regarding what features are going to be available in the new application. Two things are certain though: the project is well into development and that it will be among the first to use Apple-approved code, making it an official iPhone- and iPod Touch-compatible product. Further information will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
