New iPhone Confirmed To Be Released

The Boy Genius has friends in the right places and has posted more than a few tidbits regarding the new iPhone and version 3.0 of its software. Here are some of them:

• New iPhone announcement around mid-June
• New iPhone will be faster and have a more seamless experience unmatched by any device
• U-Verse iPhone application; will allow control of your home DVR
• The $99 3G netbook will start selling this summer, and the first one won’t be a Windows OS

Other things in the list mention what AT&T has in store in relation to the upcoming release. BGR has posted that the items are true, so there really is a new iPhone coming this year. Of course, since this is AT&T and Apple, it would be wise not to get too excited over it because there's no word on whether Rogers is going to bring it over to our side of the fence. It's almost guaranteed that it will, but there's the question of when.
