Nokia Is Testing Mosh

mosh.JPG

Nokia is going to follow the steps of MySpace and is launching a social networking website of its own. Known as Mobile Sharing, or Mosh for short, it will let users upload and share content such as videos, pictures and games. Cellphone applications and ringtones will be available as well.

The site is free and isn't limited to Nokia phone owners. Anyone with a phone that has a WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) or standard browser can view the site from a mobile phone. However, Nokia phone users can download an application that offers them quick access to the Mosh site.

The site is also accessible from a computer. Users can download content to their PCs and then transfer the content to their phones to avoid potentially costly mobile data charges associated with downloading content to mobile phones.

It's in closed beta right now, but if you want to take a peek and wait for updates, you can do so here.
