Nokia Unveils New Luxury Mobile

nokia8800carbon.jpg

Nokia is adding another entry in the luxury phone category with the Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte, said to be made out of carbon fiber, titanium, polished glass and stainless steel. It's strange it didn't throw gold and platinum in for good measure. Here's a bit of what it can do:

The Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte also offers the unique tap-for-time feature - consumers can tap the steel surface below the display twice and a clock appears on the screen. Background images organically change during the day, giving a unique appearance to the display.

Expect the device to be available this third quarter, at roughly $1,620 USD. Yes, I know that I usually mention that you have enough time to save some money come release day, but maybe that's not going to be the case here.
