Nokia Will Auction Unique Handsets To Benefit Charity

Nokia and composer Brian Eno are collaborating to benefit 2 different charities. 10 special Nokia 8800 Sirocco handsets will be engraved with Eno's signature, which should bring in a pretty penny on E-Bay. siroccocharity.gif

The charity money raised will be divided between the Keiskamma Aids Treament program and The World Land Trust.

The Keiskamma Aids Treatment program teaches South African residents about the dangers of HIV. They also give helpful anti-retroviral medication. The World Land Trust, based in the UK, seeks to combat environmental changes by taking care of the Earth. The trust has preserved more than 300,000 acres of special habitat around the world so far.

It will be interesting to see how much these Nokia 8800 phones go for on EBay, we'll keep you posted.
