Preview: iPhone 2.2

podcasts-081106.png

Excited about the upcoming iPhone 2.2? So are we. Thankfully, some developers said "to hell with it" and released sample screenshots for our viewing pleasure. So that just begs the question: what's new?

Among the goodies include a look at a redesign of the App Store to make it a bit more intuitive. The big news, however, is the addition of a Podcast tab to the iTunes store. Providing the ability to download and subscribe to podcasts on the go should mark a significant feature addition, and even better yet it appears that any podcast under 10MB will be available over the 3G network.

It's a big plus if you happen to be a fan of podcasts. If you're not, well, it's time to find something to like. The pictures look like we'll be getting plenty of options this time, so maybe there's a subscription out there that's just waiting for you to pick it up. As always, hit the source for the details.
