Reviews: Samsung Blast

img_0394_605.jpg

Phone Scoop has a review of the Samsung Blast. Their conclusion:

In the wide range of T-Mobile's messaging devices, the Blast's small size, great signal strength and reasonable battery life should make it the best choice for most users looking for a messaging phone. But unfortunately the Blast is not - a blast - to use. You should still check out the full range of T-Mobile's messaging armada if you're considering this phone.
After breaking down and summarizing the review, the Blast has two things going well for it: form factor and messaging. In terms of design, it's basically a slider that's thin and lightweight with keys that are wide enough for convenient typing. As a testament to its focus on messaging, the unit itself is easy to use with either one or two hands. The messaging feature itself not only allows SMS, but IM clients such as AIM and Yahoo! are supported as well.

It has a few things that could use some improvement, particularly the battery life, which lasts only three days if used minimally. Also, the emphasis on messaging seems to have come at the cost of other features, such as having a more intuitive GUI and better audio quality.
