Samsung Ultra Video F500 Promises to Rival iPhone

samsung_f500.jpgWhile Nokia takes time to study the iPhone before releasing any competing devices, Samsung is a step ahead of the game and has already announced the Ultra Video F500.

The F500 features an interesting half swivel form factor that nearly separates the keypad from the 2.3 inch LCD display. The F500 also supports a wide variety of media files, including DivX, MPEG-4, WMV, AVI, and more.

The Samsung F500 is looking to not only be a great cellphone, but also a portable TV player thanks to the F500's support for DivX and streaming multimedia. Watching videos without having to take up precious memory is going to be a real benefit to using this phone and there's micro SD support if internal memory doesn't cut it. Specs on internal memory and more will be released later.

The Ultra Video Samsung F500 also boasts a user-interface which could prove to make it a worthy competitor against the iPhone.

Expect the Samsung F500 to be released in the US around the same time as the Apple iPhone. It will be interesting to see how these two match up against each other and you might as well throw the Prada phone into this mix as well.
