Tag Heuer Meridiist Impressions

TagHeuer2.jpg

Here's yet another phone that's sporting a recognizable brand. Watchmaker Tag Heuer is joining the cellphone action with the Meridiist. No, that's not a typo. There's really an extra "I" in there, which makes me wonder what other extras can be found in this phone.

The screen is made from an apparently an 'unscratchable' 60.5 carats of sapphire crystal, though we're too scared to take a stanley knife to it just yet. And then there's the USP, a digital clock on the top. This is actually quite a charming touch, although the fact that it disappears when the screen goes into power-save strips it of any real practical use.

The source notes that the only thing extraordinary about this phone is its appearance. The size and bulk means that this isn't for those with subtlety in mind. This handset screams luxury, and with a price tag of £2650, the scream is loud and clear. More pictures are available via the source.
