Trend Watch: Fuji F703i Waterproof Phone

fuji_f703i_water.jpgThere are seemingly few 'restricted areas' these days when it comes to mobile phones, and now you can officially remove the 'bath' and 'shower' from such a list. Truth be told, Fuji's new waterproof phone is only available in Japan, but I would expect this to be a full-blown industry-wide market niche pretty quickly.

The Fuji F703i isn't just another 'water resistant' phone, it's completely waterproof. You can dunk it under 1-metre of water and it will hold its breath for 30 minutes. f703i_1.jpgMethinks the phone sex industry just got a new toy. Kidding aside, Fuji's latest offering comes packed with an expected array of features. A unique feature to this phone is a 'relax mode' which uses various soothing sounds and colours to help you de-stress. Although, I do think that's quite a contradiction considering this is a phone designed for people to take into the shower and bath, two places one would normally go to get away from the constant dingling and vibrating of our always-on connected lives.
