Windows Mobile 6.1 Images Available For Download

Windows Mobile 6.1 was announced yesterday, offering a lot of enhancements and features for its users. Here's a few of what's new and improved:

• Instant messaging-like texting
• Improved Internet browsing
• Simpler e-mail and Bluetooth setup
• New Home screen interface
• New Getting Started Center
• Security enhancements
• Easier Wi-Fi connection
• More personal choice

If you want to get a headstart on testing or developing for the new Windows Mobile version, Microsoft has released emulator images for your perusal.

The Windows Mobile 6.1 Emulator Images package adds emulator images to Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio 2008 that let you test applications for Windows Mobile 6.1. For general information about writing software for Windows Mobile, please see the Windows Mobile Developer Center.

The emulator images can also be used as standalone without Visual Studio. They can be accessed through the Start Menu shortcuts.

   I have Asus P527 w/ Windows Mobile 6.1. I am not able to find out the On Screen dialer. Does WM6.1 comes pre-bundled w/ one? If so, where and how can I access it from.
